This opportunity sits within Uniphar Medtech t/a Cardiac Services, a dedicated division focused on delivering innovative medical technologies and solutions.

Due to continued growth we looking for an experienced warehouse operative to join our Northampton team. Working as part of a successful warehouse team Monday to Friday delivering essential medical equipment and devices to health service providers in the UK.

Role Responsibilities

This Job Profile is not an exhaustive list of duties for the position holder. It does, however, provide an indication of the main duties and responsibilities of the position.

  • Receive materials and update the inventory management system, store and allocate received materials as per company procedures ensuring stock rotation by expiry dates.
  • Pick, pack, and dispatch materials to internal and external customers as per company procedures ensuring the quality of all stock shipped i.e., condition and expiry date.
  • Ensure that all materials dispatched are transported to their destination efficiently, safely and accurately.
  • Ensure that all stock handled is stored correctly, safely, and accurately within the warehouse facility and carry out stock taking activities.
  • The use of material handling equipment will be necessary and must be operated as per health and safety guidelines.
  • Liaise with internal and external parties regarding material and logistical issues.
  • Carry out Warehouse administrative duties including the scanning of documentation
  • Participate in the implementation of operational processes & perform work to the standards of Good Distribution Practice (GDP) for the medical sector, as required.
  • Good understanding and participation of regular cycle counting, and planned year end stock takes.
  • Ensure all duties are carried out in an efficient and safe manner. (Storage of materials, manual handling, consideration of others).
  • General housekeeping duties of stores facilities and equipment.
  • Any other reasonable duties required to support the overall team.

Role Requirements

Essential:

  • Hold a valid working permit if applicable
  • Good oral and written communications skills.
  • Good numerical skills.
  • General computer skills
  • Good organisational skills
  • Good understanding of health and safety issues
  • Team player be able to interact with all staff
  • Good attention to detail
  • Good process development and problem-solving skills

Preferred:

  • Experience with barcode scanning etc.
  • Counterbalance Forklift experience and certified
