The team

This role sits within the relationship and sales team at Energy Saving Trust. The team is responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities, building strong relationships with clients, and supporting our mission to accelerate the transition to net zero. The team cultivates a collaborative and supportive environment where innovation, ethical sales, and market driven solutions drive our success.

The role

As an account manager, you will be responsible for managing client relationships from the point of sale, delivering excellent customer service and identifying opportunities to add value. You will work closely with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery and maintain our reputation for impartial, ethical account management.

Your impact in this role will drive client retention, expand revenue opportunities and strengthen the success of the relationship and sales team. You will also play a key role in advancing our mission to combat the climate emergency by supporting businesses and households across the UK in their journey toward sustainability.

What you 'll do

  • Manage day-to-day client interactions and provide a professional and attentive customer experience.
  • Meet individual client retention targets and contribute to the team’s overall sales goals.
  • Identify cross-sell and up-sell opportunities to maximise business value.
  • Provide clients with regular updates on project/service performance.
  • Work collaboratively with sales, marketing, and product teams to enhance service offerings and inform future product development.

What you 'll bring

  • Proven experience in a similar account management role.
  • Well-developed interpersonal, presentational, and communication skills with the ability to build lasting client relationships.
  • Commercial acumen and experience in ethical sales principles.
  • Proactive approach to identifying business opportunities and adapting to priorities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce).

As part of our recruitment process, we conduct background checks on all candidates who receive a conditional offer of employment.
