Tony Alan Recruitment currently has an exciting job opportunity for a Finance Assistant to join a continuously expending business in the Crawley area on a permanent basis.

You will be part of a family-owned company with a friendly finance team, supporting them on the accounts payable function and assisting with month-end duties. This is a great role for someone who is keen to learn and expand their skills.

Your duties will include:

• Processing purchase ledger invoices
• Check all purchase orders are correctly completed, coded and authorised
• Supplier statement reconciliations
• Issuing credit notes to suppliers and correcting general ledger accounts
• Vetting suppliers and creating supplier records
• Dealing with invoice discrepancies
• Processing staff expenses
• Preparing invoices and expenses for payment run
• Assisting with month end accounts including balance sheet reconciliations, accruals & pre-payments
• Manage the accounts inbox

Key requirements:

• Experience of working in a similar role is essential
• Ideally you will be studying towards your AAT or accountancy qualification
• Strong excel skills
• Attention to detail
