Job Summary
This is a Permanent contract, Full-time, entry-level position ideal for someone who has recently graduated or looking to step into this type of environment.
In this role you will focus on implementing our Web Pricing, which is at the forefront of a recent business structure re-organisation to focus more on working with Suppliers and internal leaders at driving more intelligent pricing. This is a great opportunity to understand how data analytics and pricing are used within a large organisation and the challenges this involves in a fast moving business environment.
You will join a dynamic, experienced and diverse team led by a manager who has been with Farnell for over 14 years.
This is a flexible, hybrid working role giving you the work life balance to work from home and from the office. You will be able to manage your own diary in regards to on-site office time in Leeds, but will be required to be on-site minimum 3 days.

What will you be doing?
- To provide support and development of pricing strategies to facilitate competitive pricing;
- To develop pricing production techniques to ensure that the business is able to apply complex pricing to meet market needs across Farnell Europe;
- To include price change modelling and effect measurement;
- To follow through with the development of models; report these periodically to the business as required;
- To support the business with complex ad-hoc queries and reports as required and to agreed levels of service and quality;
- To support and advise Product Managers with pricing requirements;
- Other duties as assigned.
What about you?
- A Graduate looking to start their professional career with a degree in Finance, Economics, Business Management or any related subjects;
- Foundational knowledge of specialized disciplines, industry practices and standards, acquired via academic instruction and/or relevant work experience of substantially the same level.
- A keen interest in developing a career in pricing;
- Can work independently and collaboratively with team members, immediate management and department function;
- Has the ability to analyse numerical data;
- Good knowledge of Microsoft programmes such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, with a basic understanding of SQL databases highly desirable;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Preferably experience from a work placement or similar professional experience
Education and Certification(s):
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience from which comparable knowledge and job skills can be obtained.
