Room Attendant/Deputy Head Housekeeper required £12.00/£13.00 per hour paid every two weeks

We are recruiting a Room Attendant/Deputy Head Housekeeper to be part of our friendly housekeeping team delivering an excellent guest and member experience.
This is a full-time or part-time role, must be available 5 out of 7 days (including weekends) on a rota basis.
Expectations (Room Attendant)
- The ability to keep all public areas neat vacuumed and dusted.
- Liaise with Head Housekeeper to ensure all rooms are cleaned in conjunction with guest’s check-in/departures
- Maintain clean rooms by vacuuming, polishing, providing linen services, dusting, cleaning to a high standard and performing other duties as advised by the Senior Housekeeping team
- Deliver consistently high standards of cleanliness, look after guests needs and maintain a polite and courteous attitude
- Replenish linen and guest supplies
- Provide an excellent guest experience
- Reporting any defects such as faults and any areas of concern
- Work on a rota basis on average 5 days per week which will include weekends, hours subject to hotel occupancy levels.
Your duties will include (but are not limited to): (Deputy Head Housekeeper)
- Provide leadership, support and motivation to the housekeeping team and ensure we maintain high standards of excellence
- Staff training (induction, health & safety, security, technical & behavioural)
- Health & Safety management - Complying with company procedures and twice-yearly Safety Risk Audits
- Security - This includes compliance with HR procedures i.e. work permits & ID etc. Key security, guest security and lost property procedures
- Financial control - Room Attendant productivity, Supervisory hours and weekly budget control
- Management of CFG procedures i.e. room audits, job of the day, periodical cleaning tasks etc. Housekeeping Office presentation
- Maintaining consistently high standards of cleanliness and ensuring staff are all polite, courteous and look after guests needs
- Manage staff in line with the business needs, and costs within the department
- Manage the stock control of all cleaning products, chemicals and laundry
What we are looking for in a Deputy Head Housekeeper:
- A welcoming, friendly and outgoing manner and have the ability to develop and motivate your team
- Worked within a management capacity in the hospitality industry or a similar customer service sector.
- Excellent people management skills and will have an understanding of rotas and schedules
- A high level of attention to detail and demonstrate high levels of quality.
- A hands-on approach is needed - to support the front-line team and potentially clean rooms.
- Flexible working hours, including weekends depending on business needs.
- Self-starter qualities, be ambitious, passionate with excellent leadership qualities
Experience
- Passion for cleanliness with a keen eye for detail and high standards
- A desire to consistently deliver an excellent level of service and improve departmental performance
- You’ll have a real focus on quality standards of your own work and that of the team
- Ability to work individually and as part of a team
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Flexibility, reliability, and work under pressure
- Experience of working in a hotel or in a similar position would be advantageous.
