Entry Level Graphic Designer
Key Responsibilities:
You will join our creative team designing visual content for our digital platforms, including eBooks, web banners, infographics, and marketing materials. You’ll collaborate with our web designers and content creators to ensure visual consistency across our network of 14 websites and client projects.
- Creating digital graphics for web and social media platforms
- Designing eBooks, infographics, illustrations, and promotional materials
- Supporting the development of brand assets for clients and in-house projects
- Assisting with design elements for email newsletters
- Producing creative concepts based on briefs
- Maintaining brand consistency across all visual content
Role Requirements
You will have at least 1 year’s experience of Graphic Design
Key Skills:
- Strong design portfolio demonstrating creativity and visual problem-solving
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (particularly Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop)
- Understanding of design principles, typography, and colour theory
- Good attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines
- Excellent communication skills and a team player mentality
- Ability to receive feedback and iterate on designs
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
- Degree or qualification in Graphic Design, Visual Communication or related field (preferred but not essential)
- Experience creating digital graphics for web and social media
- Knowledge of design for print
- Basic understanding of UX/UI design principles
- Experience with motion graphics or animation (After Effects)
- Knowledge of accessibility considerations in design
Benefits
- Salary : £25,000 dependent on experience and quality of portfolio
- Annual bonus : of up to £1,000 - based on company and individual performance
- Working Hours : 38 hours per week - with flexibility on both sides regarding start and end time each day (our core hours are 10am-3pm).
- Work Location and environment : Based in our brand new Manchester office in the city centre with the opportunity to work from home for up to 2 days per week. We provide financial assistance with home office set up. The office environment is relaxed with a dress down policy and comfy sitting areas, ping-pong table, free tea, coffee, fruit, and drinks fridge. There is a free onsite gym facility.
- Holiday : 29 days including bank holidays, plus after six months’ service you get a day off on your birthday and an extra day off after 1 year and 5 extra days after 5 years’ service. We have “Fun in the Sun” half day Fridays in July and August.
- Regular social events/activities : Including parties, team lunches and nights out.
- Training and development - You will get a training allowance of £500 pa plus support for relevant technical certifications.
- Private Healthcare (BUPA). This includes access to online GPs via Babylon and up to two free face-to-face private GP appointments per year. You can also arrange cover for your partner/family at your own cost.
