: QHSE Manager

The post holder will ensure that all products conform and adhere to our customers’ expectations; quickly and effectively take action when non-conformances are found. The post holder will further ensure that the Control of Monitor and Measuring Equipment procedure is maintained at all time.

  • To develop inspection plans in order to identify gauging needed, methods of inspection, time needed to inspect and to record and capture variable inspection data. These need to be created, filed and controlled to facilitate easy retrieval at the point of product launch, which will aid the company’s drive for continual improvement
  • To technically support on inspection matters throughout the business by direct feedback to inspectors and the operators
  • Work closely with operators and Inspectors on the standardisation of inspection methods
  • Provide support with the writing of CMM and measuring arm programs.
  • Control the process of all Non-Conforming Products through Factory Master
  • Effectively communicate Non-Conformances with the Customer, providing Corrective and Preventative Action Reports in a timely manner.
  • Maintain and manage the Control of Monitoring and Measuring Equipment (Calibration)
  • Resolve quality issues by identifying problems, examining solution options and implementing action plans.
  • Analysis quality data and present findings and recommendations to the production management team in the form of KPI’s
  • Perform Internal Audits of the QMS for its effectiveness
  • Facilitate and promote the use of appropriate problem solving techniques for effective root cause analysis and successful corrective actions.
  • Recommend and implement enhancements to the quality system that results in improved quality performance and customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain a safe working environment on the shop floor and highlight to Direct manager any improvements.
  • Effectively communicate and reinforce the company’s commitment to quality improvement efforts
  • Ensure the H&S legal requirements, policies and procedures are complied with at all time
  • To work within the ISO9001 quality management system and to conform to the customer specific requirements

NVQ level 3 in Engineering and/or equivalent or a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role (desirable)

GCSE A-D in English, Math’s or equivalent (desirable)

Internal Auditor

Good investigative and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail

Ability to think logically and methodically

Ability to work independently and proactively

Ability to understand engineering drawing, specifications & standards

Good IT Skills, good knowledge of Microsoft office

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £38,760.00-£41,177.00 per year
