@one Alliance is a partnership of eight leading companies–Anglian Water, Balfour Beatty, Barhale, Binnies, MMB, MWH Treatment, Skanska, and SWECO–delivering over half of Anglian Water’s capital investment programme. As we enter AMP8, our most ambitious Asset Management Period, we are preparing to undertake our largest project yet. This is a unique opportunity to drive industry change, set global standards, and foster career growth.

We are seeking a Technical Author to play a key role in managing and delivering Digital Operating Manuals for a portfolio of projects. You will be responsible for collating, handling, and ensuring the accuracy and quality of critical documentation, including health & safety files, technical drawings, operation & maintenance data, and original equipment manufacturer documentation.

Your work will directly support the efficient operation and maintenance of assets, ensuring all information is delivered to Anglian Water Operations in a timely and structured manner.

What you’ll be doing

Key responsibilities:

  • Oversee the publication and delivery of Digital Operating Manuals for capital projects, ensuring timely collation, quality review, and management of project documents and drawings.
  • Monitor and report on the progress of the Digital Operating Manual Information Delivery Plan (DIDP) across all projects in your portfolio.
  • Liaise with Project Teams to ensure a clear understanding of Digital Operating Manual data requirements and effective data management.
  • Support improvements in asset data management, participating in the development and implementation of new tools and processes.
  • Assist project teams in developing Project-Specific DIDPs at key Delivery Milestones.
  • Manage the transfer and organisation of data within SharePoint and BIM360, ensuring compliance with ISO 19650 standards.
  • Compile and structure the Digital Operating Manuals, inserting relevant hyperlinks and metadata for seamless document navigation.

Who we’re looking for

What we are looking for:

  • A strong understanding of information management principles and best practices, (for example) knowledge and awareness of the UK BIM Framework: BS1192, PAS1192 and ISO 19650 suite of standards (Part 1 & 2).
  • Experience with digital delivery tools such as BIM360 / Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) or equivalent.
  • Background in data management, governance, and quality assurance.
  • Strong understanding of information management principles, with knowledge of UK BIM Framework: BS1192, PAS1192, and ISO 19650 (Parts 1 & 2).

This is an incredible opportunity to be part of a high-impact, forward-thinking team shaping the future of asset management. If you have a passion for digital information management, technical documentation, and process innovation, we want to hear from you!
