Direct Medics Healthcare Recruitment are seeking a compassionate and skilled Band 6 Speech & Language Therapist to join the Paediatric Speech and Language Therapy team based in the St. Helen’s area. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified and experienced Paediatric Speech & Language Therapist to provide assessment & appropriate interventions in the management of paediatric conditions, offering a range of 1:1 & group based interventions, training and programmes of care.

Contract will be for maternity cover - possible duration of 2-3 months initially. Both full and part time hours will be considered for the post Monday-Friday (9am-5pm). Salary from £37,338 a year per annum pro rata.

In this role, you will:

Undertake clinical assessment in a variety of clinical settings to support children and young people 0 – 18 years in the borough of St Helens.

Demonstrate flexibility to respond to the needs of the service and be responsible for a designated area of work.

Maintain a early years and school aged caseload; providing professional clinical advice and demonstrate intervention approaches and activities to patients, carers and colleagues within education.

Requirements

• Accredited Speech and Language Therapy qualification (BSc)
• Registration with relevant Registering Body e.g. HCPC
• Member of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapist (RCSLT)
• Experience of working in mainstream schools and specialist provisions
• Knowledge of alternative and augmentative communication and dysphagia
• Full Valid UK Drivers License and access to own Car
• Right to Work in the UK
