We are an Ofsted rated ‘good’ Children 's home based in West Molesey and we are seeking an experienced shift leader/ Senior Support Worker to join our team.

Main Job Responsibilities:
- Ensuring a firm, caring, consistent, well-ordered environment is maintained at all times.
- Working in line with childrens risk assessment and behaviour support plans
- To actively promote and participate in care planning, developing risk assessments, behaviour management and to attend regular team meetings.
- Taking children and young people on a range of activities and demonstrating positive role modelling.
- Working as part of a team to provide a programme of evening and weekend activities for children and young people.
- Promoting the social and emotional well-being and development of children and young people and to consistently strive to further develop these skills.
- Undertaking any administrative tasks linked to the care of children and young people e.g. keeping appropriate records, making reports as required by the home and any regulatory bodies.
- To maintain a log of all accidents, incidents, or physical intervention and to challenge suspected inappropriate practice according to policies and procedures.
- Keeping up to date with the home’s policies and good safeguarding practise.

Who we are
The Beech House is a 5-bedroom home in a lovely neighbourhood. We work with young people between 10-18 years with emotional and behavioural difficulties. We provide a safe and therapeutic space for our young people to better understand themselves, their past and build confidence to focus on the future. We have an external therapist who comes in weekly, and a school on site, which is also rated Good by Ofsted.
Cameron & Cooper Limited is an innovative provider of specialist care, support and education to vulnerable young people, working closely with local authority partners to enable our young people to thrive, achieve independence and live more fulfilling lives. Our services include Cherry Blossom, The Beech House, The Beech House School and Willow Lodge with plans to open further homes.
Job overview
You will be working within a team to promote a safe and calm environment which provides children and young people with a high standard of specialised care, meeting individual needs and ensuring everyone is treated with respect, dignity and rights to privacy.
As a shift leader/ senior support worker you will be responsible for planning the shift and supporting junior staff, as well as being a key worker to one young person placed at The Beech House. Therefore, you must be a positive role model to both young people and staff. This role requires a good work ethic, integrity, openness and an ability to set firm boundaries with a caring approach.
What we are looking for:
Ideally we are looking for someone with a childcare, youth work or residential care background. We provide a comprehensive induction and on-going training so are willing to invest in someone’s development. It would be advantageous to have an NVQ level 3 in child workforce or health and social care or equivalent.
