About the job
This varied and interesting role provides support to the Practice Team through a wide range of reception and administrative duties and the provision of general support to the clinical, non-clinical team and patients. Duties will include; greeting and directing patients, taking/making phone calls, new patient registrations, booking appointments, processing of information, assisting patients as required, data entry, and running reports.
The successful candidate will have extensive experience of IT systems such as Office and ideally previous experience of general practice or a similar environment, although training will be provided.
We are looking for a full-time candidate - 37.5 hours per week Mon - Fri with 8 hour shifts between 07:45 - 18:45.
Minimal weekend working may be required over the course of the year with a degree of flexibility to cover holiday etc (including reception cover).

Educated to GSCE level or equivalent - Essential
Experience
Experience of administrative / reception duties - Essential
Experience of working in a health care setting - Desirable
Experience working with SystmOne - Desirable
Skills
Excellent communication skills - Essential
Strong IT skills - Essential
Clear, polite telephone manner - Essential
Competent in the use of Office and Outlook - Essential
Ability to work as part of a team - Essential
Ability to follow policy & procedures - Essential
