We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Retail Sales Associate to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, assisting customers with their purchases, and ensuring a pleasant shopping experience. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a knack for upselling, and the ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced retail environment.

Duties

• Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products.
• Communicate product knowledge effectively to customers in English; proficiency in Spanish or other languages is advantageous.
• Engage in upselling techniques to enhance the customer’s shopping experience.
• Handle transactions accurately using basic maths skills for cash handling.
• Maintain an organised sales floor and ensure merchandise is displayed attractively.
• Answer customer queries via phone and in-person with excellent phone etiquette.
• Collaborate with team members to meet sales targets and enhance store performance.
• Manage time efficiently to balance multiple tasks during busy periods.

Experience

• Previous experience in retail or customer service is preferred but not essential.
• Strong organisational skills are necessary to maintain an orderly workspace.
• Ability to communicate effectively with diverse customers, both verbally and non-verbally.
• Multilingual abilities are a plus, enhancing communication with a broader customer base.
• A proactive approach to learning about products and services offered.
