Fasanara is searching for a Credit Analyst specialising in Structured Credit to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive credit analysis on structured credit transactions, including asset-backed securities and collateralized loan obligations. You will assess the creditworthiness of underlying assets, monitor portfolio performance, and contribute to investment recommendations. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and previous experience in structured credit or fixed income analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Portfolio manager to optimize portfolio construction, contribute to security selection, and monitor risk in portfolios.
  • Conduct detailed credit analysis of structured credit transactions, evaluating cash flow models, collateral performance, and borrower credit profiles.
  • Monitor and assess the performance of existing structured credit investments, identifying risks and recommending actions as necessary.
  • Stay informed on market trends, sector performance, and macroeconomic factors affecting structured credit markets.
  • Conduct security selection and market surveillance.
  • Maintain and improve various investment tools and the accuracy of the data they employ.
  • Work with Tech and Operations teams to increase automation, improve data quality, and create new tools to use in the investment process.
  • Create and maintain performance reports for weekly strategy meetings.

Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CFA) is a plus.

Experience:

  • Strong experience in credit analysis, structured finance, or asset management, with a focus on structured products preferred.
  • Understanding of credit risk assessment, cash flow modeling, and investment evaluation methodologies.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficient in financial modeling and analysis using Excel and other financial software.
  • Familiarity with structured credit products such as ABS, CLOs, and CMBS.
  • Experience in credit rating methodologies and frameworks is a plus.
  • Affinity with InteX or Moodys Analytics and cash flow projection scenarios is a bonus but not required.

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey complex information clearly.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Proactive approach to problem-solving and a willingness to take initiative.
