Our business works in a niche branch of Health & Safety - Radiation Protection Advice. The Radiation Protection Advisers (RPAs) visit our clients, write reports, and provide ongoing telephone and email advice. The business also provides training for people working with radiation and is a supplier for Mirion personal dosimetry.

Our admin team support the RPAs by organising visits and associated pre and post appointment documentation. In addition, the role is varied with an opportunity to gain an understanding of all areas of our services including client Training and Dosimetry plus our own Health and Safety and Social Media requirements. It is important that the successful applicant can both work independently and as part of a team, supporting the RPAs.

Job Title: Office Administrator - Documents Team

Permanent position.

Full Time 9am-5pm Monday to Friday (37.5 hours)

Salary: from £24,000

We are looking for an Administrator to join our expanding team in a small, busy, growing company. Your primary role will be to undertake a variety of administrative and clerical tasks, and talking to our clients by phone and email.

You must be a confident person, with the ability to handle all situations with a level head and calm approach. Communication skills, time management and attention to detail are paramount.

Job role:

You’ll be flexible and a quick learner who likes to have a variety of tasks to work on. Examples of work performed will include but not be restricted to:

General

  • Follow company procedures when preparing paperwork to send out clients while adhering to office security and confidentiality rules.
  • General office administrative duties such as issuing client reports and supporting documentation
  • Any reasonably requested office/admin tasks.
  • Follow up with client for additional information required
  • Updating client information on our bespoke CRM system.
  • Scanning, photocopying, filing
  • Preparation of client files.
  • With experience, professionally handle incoming calls/mail/email from clients - deal with queries, relay messages and reply appropriately.
  • Confident use of Microsoft word, excel, basic understanding of Xero account package with onsite training provided on our bespoke CRM.

Personal Skills required:

The ability to work both independently and in a team environment and meet strict deadlines.

Excellent written and verbal skills

Excellent interpersonal skills with a strong customer service ethos, while displaying meticulous confidentiality.

Have a high level of accuracy, quality and attention to detail with excellent organisational skills.

Reliable, punctual attendance at work.

Have the ability and willingness to acquire job related knowledge through self-development and learning from others.

Desirable qualifications and experience:

Four GCSEs at Grade C or above or equivalent in including Maths and English.

Experience working in a customer service / office environment.

Knowledge of Microsoft packages.

Onsite training will be given in all the current company procedures and bespoke CRM.
