Multi award-winning, Dorset-based premium chocolate company Chococo is looking for a Graphic Designer to join our growing team at our HQ in Holton Heath as we expand the business both nationally and internationally. Are you an experienced, enthusiastic and talented designer with an excellent sense of composition, colour theory and how to apply this to physical on the shelf products? Would you like to see your design and packaging creations online and in our 4 Chocolate Houses across the South? The role covers a variety of graphic tasks, and no two days will be the same!

What are you going to do with us?

• Maintain the brand’s look and consistency, with scope to develop new products across our ongoing and seasonal ranges
• Collaborate internally with the marketing, online, operations and sales team on design-related deliverables
• Translate concepts and briefs into eye catching graphics
• Create stand-out POS material for in-store, promotions, and larger format exhibition display
• Create mock-ups, visuals & catalogues for meetings / presentations
• Brainstorm and research packaging & chocolate shape solutions for new product concepts
• Be the company contact point liasing with printers, packaging companies & mould designers, art-working for print, getting quotes sending files, and making sure they are delivered on time.
• Assist on photoshoots for mock-ups and required props / materials required
• Be an ambassador for the brand and its ethos - making sure visual elements fit with the overall look and style
• Make sure all products have correct copy information on prior to print

Requirements

• Proficiency in Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign (experience in After Effects / animation software would be a bonus)
• Previous experience with design for packaging desirable.
• Photography skills always welcome!
• Photoshop required for amending/ retouching photography
• Ability to create effective, distinctive, and commercial packaging solutions, as well as art-working them to be appropriate for end product
• A good / working knowledge of print production techniques, and able to trouble shoot issues. We use both digital and litho print, and special treatments such and foiling and perforation cutters.
• Effective multi-tasker, who can self-manage when required on both long-term ongoing projects and short turn-around deliverables
• Proactive, organized, focused and deadline driven
• Be personable and be able to maintain good working relationships with our suppliers and clients
• First rate communication skills, both written, oral and face-to-face
• Attention to detail, problem solving skills and initiative
• Provide a relevant portfolio and demonstrable work experience
• Responsible for file management and structuring skills on the design section of the server

Pay: £28,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
