About the Role

You are joining the team to build relationships with the right people at businesses that would benefit from our products and influence them to purchase them. They will include a vast amount of various industrial industries, including Oil and Gas, Manufacturing and OEMs sectors with a need for good quality paint / coating solutions.

Your average client is likely to spend £12,000 - £30,000 per year with us.

Success in your first year looks like:

  • Establish strong relationships with key decision-makers at target accounts.
  • Develop a deep understanding of our product range and industry trends.
  • Achieve a sales target of £1m.

To achieve this, you will:

  • Generate leads through direct prospecting, lead management, networking, and partnerships.
  • Build relationships with your prospects through calls, face-to-face meetings, and video meetings.
  • Demonstrate our solutions, concisely, and relevant to all new prospects.
  • Update and maintain your interactions on our CRM System.
  • Work closely with the team to identify areas for continued knowledge improvement.
  • Research and explore new business opportunities.

Activity Targets

As every sales professional knows, there is always an element of luck involved in each sale and the best way to counteract this is increased activity.

If you deliver this level of activity consistently for 47 weeks of the year, there is a strong chance you will deliver £1.4m+ of sales.

  • Speak with 30 prospects per week
  • 2 proposals per week
  • 94 proposals per year
  • 28 new customers per year

Reward

You will receive a competitive base salary of £46,000 to £53,000 and a company car.

Commission is uncapped and paid on anything above £200,000 at a rate of
1.5% - average GP between 25% - 32%
2% - average GP above 32%.

Commissions to be paid in April, July, October, January for the previous quarter.

By achieving your sales target you can achieve earnings of £69k in year one and much more if you exceed your targets!

Essential Criteria

We know the “right person” could come from a variety of different backgrounds to succeed in this role. Here are the essential criteria to succeed in this role:

  • Proven experience generating your own leads
  • Commercial sales experience
  • Proven experience of delivering the sales activity and results required above
  • Full UK Driver’s License

Advantageous Criteria

  • Experience selling chemical products or solutions
