Overview:

Raj Tent Club are one of the leading event suppliers to London and the Home Counties, supplying exquisite marquees, beautiful event furniture and accessories to high profile events and venues. We also have a sister business and online store selling our tents, and in house designed garden furniture.

Within the warehouse we house a large stock of beautiful hand printed textiles, drapes, cushions and soft furnishings that all need to be cared for and organised to ensure the smooth running of the business.

Ahead of our busy summer season we are seeking skilled and experienced staff to assist in the warehouse preparing event orders and managing stock.

As a warehouse and event assistant, you will be responsible for carefully and accurately picking and preparing orders in advance of events and then handling the post event return, checks and storing of orders.

From time to time, there may be requirements to attend event sites and assist with installations, predominantly in prestigious London venues.

The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, high levels of attention to detail, excellent communication skills and the desire to work and achieve results, as a team

We value practically minded people with common sense, so if you have that in abundance, but not specific experience, then training can be provided.

Responsibilities:

• Work from picking lists to carefully and accurately pick and prepare orders ahead of delivery
• Communicate with office and report on any shortages, damaged items or issues
• Take delivery of returned stock post events and check, assess any damages/repairs required and return to storage positions
• Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe work environment
• Complete necessary paperwork and documentation related to preparing orders

Essential Requirements:

• Right to work in the UK
• Experience working in a manual and practical work environment
• Good levels of English
• Full UK driving licence (for drivers)

Desirable skills:

• Previous experience in events, textiles or furniture hire
• Upholstery & Sewing Skills
• Forklift Licences

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: £13.25-£15.50 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 50 per week
