Cartmel Racecourse welcomes up to 100,000 race-goers per year; we offer 9 race days through the summer. All year round we plan for our events, always trying to improve and innovate our race days. We are a small year-round team and work as a unit - helping each other and understanding each others roles. Working at Cartmel is very rewarding; imagine seeing 20,000 people enjoying a great day out - all put on by you! Our regulars become friends and the racing fraternity is very welcoming. As an events & admin assistant you will be able to demonstrate patience with our customers as they plan their event with us and be a great administrator, showing you have an attention to detail. On our race days its all hands on deck as we get the site ready to welcome our visitors - both human and equine. You must be able to work all race days and this includes evening and weekend working over the racing season.
- Previous experience working in events is required
- Proactive ability to overcome objections from clients and the confidence to manage this
- Previous experience working face to face with customer enquiries
- Enthusiasm to get involved within the varied role requirements is essential
Job Types: Full-time, Temporary
Contract length: 5 months
Pay: From £12.21 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
