• Liaise with management regarding recruitment requirements and advertise any roles on a variety of platforms.
• Maintenance and filing of application forms
• Answer employment enquiries from general public
• Assist the selection progress where required, this includes:-
• Short-listing of candidates;
• Arranging interviews of short-listed candidates;
• Interviewing of candidates
• Secure references as necessary
• Notifying unsuccessful candidates in writing
• Issue appointment letters and contracts to successful candidates
• Complete right to work checks
• Update Time & Attendance system with new starts details
• Provide Management with information on manpower issues internally and externally
• Build and maintain relationships with recruitment agencies to use as and when required and negotiate discounted rates
• Provide advice and guidance to mangers on employment law and good business practice
• Issue and review all employee contracts as necessary
• Ensure employee handbooks kept up to date with current UK employment legislation and in house practices. Implementation and maintenance of company policy and procedure in line with UK legislation
• Liaise with payroll department to ensure administration for all new starts and terminations are effected promptly
