Are you a hands-on problem solver with a passion for keeping operations running like clockwork? At Quickslide Ltd , we’re seeking a driven Maintenance Engineer to play a key role in ensuring our advanced machinery and equipment operate at peak performance.
In this vital position, you’ll take the lead on scheduled maintenance, swiftly troubleshoot technical issues, and keep our systems running smoothly. You’ll bring a strong understanding of both electrical and mechanical systems, confidently interpret schematics, and work with logic controllers to resolve challenges efficiently.
Beyond the tools, we’re looking for someone with a commitment to customer service and team leadership. You’ll oversee maintenance activities, support colleagues, and help foster a collaborative, solutions-focused environment.
Hours of work are predominantly Monday to Friday 2pm-10pm, however, you will need to be flexible and support on other shifts when required, to cover holidays and absence.
Main Responsibilities Include:
- Conduct regular inspections of machinery and equipment to identify potential issues.
- Perform preventative maintenance on various systems, ensuring optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical faults in a timely manner.
- Read and interpret schematics to understand system layouts and components.
- Operate welding equipment for repairs or modifications as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs conducted.
- Supervise junior maintenance staff, providing guidance and support as required.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure minimal disruption to operations during maintenance activities.
- Uphold high standards of customer service when interacting with internal teams or external clients.
Required skills and qualifications:
- Proven experience in a similar role with strong mechanical knowledge.
- Proficiency in electrical systems, including the use of logic controllers.
- Ability to read schematics effectively.
- Experience in welding is advantageous but not essential.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise a team effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and logical thinking abilities.
- Good command of English, both written and verbal, for effective communication.
- A commitment to maintaining a safe working environment at all times.
