Coinbase Infrastructure Security is seeking a subject matter expert in infrastructure security with a background in control development to solve challenges in Linux operating system security, container runtime security, and software lifecycle management. You will work closely with Infrastructure partners to create and execute a vision for the security of compute platforms. You will deliver impact at-scale through sound engineering, first-principles thinking, and continuous iteration. Developers will move fast and safely with the solutions that you deliver.

What you’ll be doing (ie. job duties):

• Independently solve complex problems in compute platform security.
• Harden systems using technologies like secure boot and access control frameworks
• Build secure operating systems, managed containers, and automated updates.
• Develop logging and monitoring systems to detect and respond to runtime threats.
• Build and evolve infrastructure platforms by co-creating with engineering teams.

What we look for in you (ie. job requirements):

• At least 5 years of experience in software or development-focused security engineering.
• An execution-focused mindset, capable of navigating through ambiguity and delivering results.
• Your passion for building an open financial system that brings the world together drives you to excel in this role.

Nice to haves:

• You have a strong working knowledge of the Linux operating system and are comfortable working with the Linux kernel (for example, writing a kernel module).
• You have built security controls for operating system security, container runtime security, and/or container lifecycle management.
• You have worked with Golang, Docker, and/or Kubernetes.

Pay Transparency Notice: Depending on your work location, the target annual salary for this position can range as detailed below. Full time offers from Coinbase also include target bonus + target equity + benefits (including medical, dental, vision and 401(k)).

Pay Range:

$186,065–$218,900 USD
