Strategic Programs is an organization of Technical Program Managers responsible for the strategy, planning, and execution of large-scale global programs that are mission-critical to Coinbase. The team partners with Tech Leadership across the business; fueling growth and enhancing our engineering capabilities. We’re currently hiring for roles spanning multiple levels across our Retail, Institutional, Developer, Infrastructure and Platform teams. Leveling is determined based on an applicant’s years of relevant experience as well as through performance in a formal interview loop.

As a TPM at Coinbase, your role will be pivotal in ensuring smooth engineering operations, optimizing processes, and fostering a culture of operational excellence through continuous improvement.

What You’ll Be Doing (i.e., Job Duties)

• Create and then lead a continuous improvement program
• Be accountable for roadmap delivery, including success criteria as defined in collaboration with your stakeholders
• Team up with external & internal stakeholders (engineering, data science, product, compliance, marketing, customer experience etc) to gather requirements and define objectives
• Create requirements documentation, milestone mapping, prioritization, and program communications
• Create thorough functional specs, project / release plans, and roadmaps
• Monitor program status, identify issues / risks, succinctly communicate issues, and proactively collaborate to ensure timely resolution

What We Look For In You (ie. Job Requirements)

• 6+ years of technical program management experience at a technology company and/or in a technical capacity.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or equivalent
• Enjoy solving hard problems and can turn incomplete, conflicting, or ambiguous inputs into action plans
• Ability to communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders in order to drive alignment
• Ability to leverage data to inform critical decisions and make recommendations
• Prior experience working on global programs
• Able to manage multiple stakeholders and priorities simultaneously

Nice to haves

• Program or project management certifications
• Prior crypto experience and a demonstrated interest in cryptocurrencies and blockchain technologies
• Advanced understanding of Google apps, JIRA, Looker, SQL

Pay Transparency Notice: Depending on your work location, the target annual salary for this position can range as detailed below. Full time offers from Coinbase also include target bonus + target equity + benefits (including medical, dental, vision and 401(k)).

Pay Range:

$167,280–$270,900 USD
