Job Title: Software Development Technical Trainer
Location: Remote, UK (6 days per year in London office)
Salary: £35,000 - £45,000
Due to rapid growth within the business, we’re looking for a Software Development Technical Trainer to join the amazing team at Just IT! This is an exciting opportunity to join a fantastic organisation making a difference to young people in the community.
You will be responsible for the delivery of Technical Software Training in both Apprenticeships and Skills Bootcamps, predominantly training learners that are looking to start their career path as a Software Developer. Within this role you are not just a ‘Trainer’ but a mentor to the students that you are supporting, as you will also be guiding them to develop a portfolio that will show the skill sets that they have learnt whilst on programme.
You will work alongside the Curriculum & IQA and Service Delivery Teams to develop the training methodologies currently used within the business, adapting different ways of working and being able to establish individual learning needs and introduce new ways of working.
Main Responsibilities
- Motivate and encourage learning and development in your learners in the following key areas; HTML/CSS, JavaScript, REACT, C, Database e.g., SQL and Python.
- Recording and reporting on activity to management in a timely and professional manner, while collaborating with the Career Support team on candidate’s progress towards employment.
- Developing effective training plans to establish the needs the learner and keep the course material relevant to industry
- Respond to learners within 48 hours of them requesting feedback/support on their project work portfolio
The Ideal Candidate
- Knowledge and experience in Software Developer role for a minimum of 3 years.
- Knowledge and experience in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Bootstrap, Github, Azure, SQL, Python, REACT and Figma.
- Experience in developing learner progression through a series of learning stages, with the ability to provide effective feedback.
- PGCE/CertEd/QTS or L4 Teaching qualification, as well as qualifications in IT.
- The ability to come to the London office 6 days per year.
