Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse specialising in Paediatrics to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to providing exceptional patient care to children and their families. This role involves working closely with paediatric patients, assessing their needs, and delivering appropriate nursing interventions in a supportive environment.
Responsibilities
- Total Parental Nutrition administration to include prescription and pump management Deep suctioning Diabetes Pump management including manual dosing Central line management Intravenous used to administer medications, feed or fluids to a patient via intravenous (IV) access Non invasive ventilation Epilepsy care management to include emergency rescue medication.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Monitor patients’ progress and respond promptly to changes in their condition.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated care for paediatric patients.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training to enhance nursing skills.
Qualifications
- Valid registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
- Proven experience in paediatric nursing or a related field is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology relevant to paediatric care.
- Excellent patient care skills with a focus on empathy and communication.
- Ability to work effectively within a team as well as independently.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in clinical practice.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards.
Flexible working can be offered, shifts are allocated in advance and can be worked around other Nursing roles.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £35.00-£40.00 per hour
Expected hours: 12 - 36 per week
