To deliver customer orders in a timely and efficient manner while upholding company standards of customer service and respect.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Checking, loading, and routing of delivery run

  • Delivering customer orders on time and correctly, assisting customers putting away if required and always going the extra mile.

  • Getting customer signature on delivery notes, keeping notes in order and giving to warehouse manager for invoicing, ensuring all delivery notes are returned, using the digital POD system.

  • Daily vehicle checks

  • Assisting with picking once back from deliveries if required

  • Sales Orders - Picking, labelling (including courier booking and labels), and putting in correct location

Key Performance Metrics

  • Delivery accuracy and customer satisfaction (measured by customer complaints)

  • Daily Vehicle Checks Complete Every day.

  • 5S – Maintaining Van in good and clean condition inside and out.

  • Adherence to all company policies and procedures

  • Delivery POD’s prove beyond reasonable doubt that we have delivered what we say we have, using the digital POD system.

Work Equipment

  • Drivers are supplied with a work phone to allow them too:

o Use navigation tools to assist with routing.

o Have access to WhatsApp/POD App to send POD pictures.

o Have access to Phone and messaging capability should you need to contact the office.

o Each phone is the responsibility of the drivers to keep charged and in working order, any damages/loss should be reported to management immediately.

Creating and Driving Value within your Role

  • Working Efficiently, and wherever possible suggesting changes/making improvements with the team that will drive efficiency in the operation. (eg Waste Board)

  • Driving and delivering efficiently, (eg no speeding, drive with MPG in mind, not leaving the engine running when not necessary)

  • Maintaining accuracy in loading vans/ deliveries, to make sure customers get the goods required correct the first time, to cut down on returns and customer complaints.

Requirements

Skills/Attributes Required:

  • Be able to work independently and make decisions quickly and effectively.

  • Adaptable to change.

  • Good Customer Service Skills, Polite and Courteous always.

  • Good Verbal Communication Skills.

  • IT Literate.

  • Always Looking for ways to improve/increase efficiency/productivity.

  • Apply Customer First Attitude to every scenario.

  • A positive and “can do” attitude at all times.

  • Physical Fitness, items of various weights and sizes and fast paced rate of work.

Education/Experience Required:

  • Previous experience in van driving.

  • Experience in a warehouse environment
