We are looking for someone to join our diverse Board who can complement the team, bringing International telco/technology experience, alongside an open, collaborative and positive mind-set, aligned to JT’s culture and values.

Key Responsibilities
The Board of Directors represents and are accountable to the shareholders of the company (the Government of Jersey). The Board plays an active role in regularly evaluating the strategic direction the company, its management policies, procedures and the effectiveness with which management operates the business of the company. The Board meets 6 times a year in Jersey or Guernsey.
The responsibilities of the Board include overseeing the structure and composition of the company’s top management and monitoring legal, compliance and the management of risks related to the company’s operations.
It is important that the non-executive directors participate and contribute to the successful running of the business, providing insight and objective advice on strategy and its successful implementation, as well as being guardians of appropriate conduct for the company and the Board.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Experience of operating at Board level, ideally including time as an Independent Director with more than one mid to large sized organisation
- Senior Experience in the Technology/Telco sector
- International growth/expansion experience, preferably in a rapidly evolving high-tech market
- Expertise in one or more of the following: M&A, Partnering, Joint Venture, Product, Software
- Experience in transformational change management
- Experience in Environmental, Social and Corporate Governance (ESG)
- Experience and enthusiasm to mentor, coach and work closely with the Executive team and Board to drive the commercial success of the business.
- The energy and drive to act with agility in taking the business to the next level.
- Pragmatic and realistic, with the confidence to both challenge and support key Board decision making.

The recent acquisition of Spectrum Message Services, an Australian company specialising in mobile and transactional system integration, has expanded JT’s Mobile Intelligence services. Spectrum’s MoneyGuard provides secure transaction alerts to a global customer base of over 135 million, underlining JT’s ongoing commitment to innovation and security in the digital age.
