About You
First off, you love to play chess and want to help others discover that same joy. Secondly, you are an experienced product manager who has worked in consumer tech and/or gaming to deliver delightful experiences for users. You can think algorithmically and understand how logic flows impact a product, but you also have an excellent intuition for exciting user experiences
What You’ll Do
- Execute the roadmap dedicated to improving Chess.com’s suite of learning products.
- Dig into player stories and data to find insights, test ideas, and figure out how new features can keep players coming back and enjoying the game.
- Devise well thought out A/B experiments based on thorough metric tracking to understand how our users interact with the product. Analyze the results in thorough experiment readouts.
- Write clear and concise specs and quickly action on feedback from stakeholders.
- Lead the product development lifecycle and communications between colleagues in design, engineering, and QA to deliver a great experience to users.
Preferred Skills
- 3+ years experience in product management.
- Planning, executing, and analyzing high-quality A/B experiments.
- Working closely with design on engaging, consumer-facing products.
- Collaborating with engineering on technical products.
- Prioritizing a backlog with an understanding how various options impact users.
- A passion for and understanding of chess and how to teach it.
