Shields Talent is working exclusively with a London-based company seeking a Product Manager (12-month FTC) to join their team. Our client, a well-established leader in their industry, is looking for a dynamic Product Manager/Product Owner with a proven background in delivery of company infrastructure to optimise their systems in order offer a best-in-class service to their customers across their multiple platforms. This is an opportunity to join a small, highly successful team with a proven track record and a deep passion for working in a reputable industry.
Please note that this is a 12-month fixed-term contract, with no expectation of becoming permanent currently. Job Details -
- Salary - circa £65k
- Location - London
- Work conditions - Hybrid (3 days on site/2 days remote)
- Access to Vitality Health (Automatic enrolment after 6 month probation)
- 25 days holiday, plus 3 additional days at Christmas and 8 days bank holiday.
You will be responsible for defining the product vision, strategy, and roadmap to enhance and optimise the internal infrastructure. This includes their ERP, central data system, CRM, front-end websites, and business insights tools. You’ll lead a cross-functional team to deliver improvements that ensure these systems are well-integrated, efficient, and support exceptional customer service and informed business decision-making.
Candidate requirements -
- Experience in internal facing product management, including tech infrastructure is essential
- Strong commercial awareness and the ability to balance commercial outcomes whilst also delivering great user journeys
- Creative with ideas and solutions to problems.
- You have delivered valuable features from conception through to delivery and optimisation specifically for internal customers
- Skilled in most stages of the product management process including product discovery, validation, delivery, prioritisation, planning, execution, launch and optimisation
- A passion for best-in-class customer experiences; you’re not satisfied with the status quo and are always looking for ways to improve
- Exceptional web analytics and data knowledge, with the ability to use data to derive insight.
- You have strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels. Stake holder management will be a key part of the role
Responsibilities -
- Talking with users to understand their motives, beliefs and identify their pain points
- Prioritising the highest value problems and aligning with a wide range of stakeholders to ensure they’re on board with your product strategy
- Collaborating with your team of engineering and a wide range of stakeholders to find potential solutions and validate which are worth building
- Leading a cross-functional team to execute at a high velocity and deliver the roadmap
- Observing how users use the product after the launch and use qual/quant learnings to measure the impact and identify areas for improvement.
- Effectively communicating your team’s progress and achievements across the company including CEO’s and CFO
- Manage output from technical delivery teams, translating business requirements into technical stories and vice versa
- Be the go-to expert for your area, delivering insight and knowledge that helps us delight our colleagues and customers
- Lead end to end Product initiatives including research and discovery, development of user flows, wireframes, user stories (with UX), tracking, QA, UAT, post launch validation and ongoing optimisation in an Agile manner using Scrum methodology and artefacts
