The Floor Manager is responsible for overseeing the front-of-house operations during shifts, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, and supporting the General Manager in maintaining high standards of service and efficiency. This role requires a hands-on leader with strong customer service skills, operational knowledge, and the ability to motivate and manage a team in a fast- paced, live music environment.

Operational Management

  • Oversee the smooth running of the front-of-house during shifts, ensuring high standards of service and efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with licensing, health & safety, and operational regulations.
  • Support the bar and floor teams to maintain high-quality service and product standards.
  • Responsibility for managing and mentoring the team of hosts and ensuring all booking
  • requirements are delivered.
  • Responsibility for managing, developing and mentoring the team of Singers.
  • Work with the entertainment team to ensure seamless live music programming and execution.
  • Support with the management of the security team to ensure all our team, guests and entertainers are kept safe.
  • Assist with opening and closing procedures, ensuring a secure and well-maintained venue.

Financial & Business Performance

  • Support revenue growth by implementing sales strategies, promotions, and upselling techniques.
  • Monitor stock levels and oversee accurate cash handling and reconciliation.
  • Assist in controlling costs by reducing wastage and ensuring efficient resource management.

Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead and support the front-of-house team during shifts, ensuring smooth and effective operations.
  • Motivate and encourage team members to deliver excellent customer service.
  • Provide on-the-job training and guidance to staff.
  • Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork and excellence.

Customer Experience & Brand Standards

  • Ensure guests receive a high-quality, memorable experience in line with The Piano Works’ brand ethos.
  • Handle customer queries and complaints professionally, resolving issues promptly.
  • Monitor guest feedback and suggest improvements to enhance service levels.

Marketing & Event Support

  • Assist with promotional activities and ensure special events run smoothly.
  • Work with the management team to maximise corporate and private event bookings.
    Support social media and brand awareness initiatives where required.

Experience

  • Experience in a supervisory or management role within a high-volume bar, restaurant, or live music venue.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Passion for live music and hospitality, with a guest-centric approach.
  • Ability to work under pressure and problem-solve effectively.
  • Knowledge of licensing, health & safety, and food & beverage regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Pay: £32,000.00-£34,000.00 per year
