Amelie is looking for a dynamic and passionate Head Chef to lead Amelie into a busy summers and beyond.
The successful applicant will need to demonstrate that they are able to:

Recruit kitchen staff as needed.

Pro-actively propose developments to product in line with company goals.

Order stock and consumables in line with the needs of the business and approved budgets.

Working with best local produce to create menus that are in line with costs and also surprise and delight our guests.

Building relationships with suppliers to ensure we are able to secure the best produce at the best price.

Working with local seasonal seafood and produce the successful applicant will have a passion for working with fresh and simple food. A proven track record of management systems and successful GP’s a must, as is a calm and personable demeanour in a busy kitchen. Experienced in all areas of food preparation. This role will need the applicant to have the ability to organise plan and prioritise, and demonstrate the ability to consistently deliver a quality product.
In return the successful candidate will get to work overlooking the beautiful harbour of Porthleven, a short walk from the beach in an award wining and established restaurant.
