Allstaff Engineering Division are delighted to bring to the market the role of Quality Engineer for a well established manufacturing company based in East Kilbride.
Due to continued expansion, we are looking to recruit a Quality Engineer to join the company’s Quality Dept. The successful candidate will report to the QHSE Manager and support the QMS and ISO requirements. The hours are 37.5 per week from a Monday to a Thursday.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Developing and implementing quality standards.
- Supporting company QMS and maintaining ISO requirements.
- Supporting company Environmental and H&S requirements.
- Monitor, analyse and investigate quality issues in collaboration with operations managers to develop and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
- Ensuring that workflows, processes, and products comply with safety and environmental regulations.
- Internal and external auditing.
- Prepare reports and maintain documentation related to quality.
- Liaise with suppliers to address any quality issues and provide support with developing improvements
EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
- HNC in quality or process engineering (desirable)
- Experience working within a manufacturing environment essential
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Good understanding of industrial level Environmental and Health and Safety legislation.
- Strong knowledge of quality management systems (ISO 9001) and quality assurance methodologies (e.g. Six Sigma, Lean)
- Proficient in continuous improvement methods and quality control tools (e.g. DMAIC, FMEA, 8D, Root Cause Analysis)
- Good team player and communicator but also the ability to work from own initiative.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good IT skills, proficient in MS Office tools.
