Job Title: Outdoor Events Sales Consultant / Executive (Event-Based, Contract, Freelance)
Location: Various locations across England & Wales
Contract Duration: On and off between May - September (including weekends & bank holidays)
Event Duration: 2-6 days per event
Compensation: Flat fee per event + commission on completed sales
Expenses: Accommodation provided; meal expenses covered or flat rate for expenses
About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Luxury Outdoor Sales & Client Liaison to represent our high-end outdoor structures at events across England and Wales including within RHS and Royal Agricultural shows. This is a contract-based, event-focused role where you will be responsible for closing sales on-site, providing general planning guidance to clients, and coordinating post-sale communication until installation is complete (Average 8-10 weeks post-sale or longer for bespoke).
If you have a proven track record in high-end sales , strong communication skills, and an understanding of outdoor structures, landscaping, or planning considerations, this role is perfect for you!
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Client Engagement:
- Proactively engage with potential customers at events.
- Present our premium outdoor structures professionally and persuasively.
- Confidently close high-value sales on-site.
Post-Sale Client Support :
- Provide clients with general guidance on planning permissions (technical planning specialists will be outsourced).
- Conduct site visits if necessary to advise on structure placement.
- Act as a liaison between clients and the installation team, ensuring a smooth post-sale process.
Event Representation :
- Maintain a professional and knowledgeable presence at events.
- Represent the brand with enthusiasm, ensuring a premium customer experience.
Ideal Candidate
- Proven experience in high-end sales, ideally in outdoor structures, landscaping, or luxury outdoor living.
- Strong ability to close sales on-site in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to stay motivated during quiet periods.
- Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
- Knowledge of outdoor structures and general planning permission considerations (formal expertise not required).
- Highly organised with the ability to coordinate post-sale communication with clients and the installation team.
- Comfortable with traveling across England & Wales for events.
Additional Role Details
Uniform :
- A shirt, jumper, and jacket with the company logo will be provided.
- Candidates must wear smart outdoor suitable boots or shoes and smart trousers/chinos (to be self-provided).
Travel & Accommodation:
- Accommodation will be arranged and paid for. This may involve shared accommodation.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle to travel to events across England and Wales.
- Fuel and meal expenses will be covered, or a flat rate for expenses will be provided.
Event Length & Schedule:
- Events will range between 2-7 days.
- Working day times can vary from 8am-7pm or when the show opens. Setup before show opens and close down when show closes. Breakdown may be necessary on the last day.
- The role runs from May through September, covering various premium events.
