Brain Injury Support Worker - Hereford (HR1)
Pay Rate: £15-£16 per hour (dependent on experience)
Hours: 10 hours per week (Two 5-hour shifts, 10am-3pm, weekdays)
Location: Community-based work - Hereford HR1
Driver essential - own vehicle required
Support work experience essential
Spark Neuro Rehabilitation is looking for a dedicated and compassionate Brain Injury Support Worker to support a female client in her own home and the local community to engage in her daily life and support her to access community activities including managing and riding her horses and accessing the community.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work as part of a multidisciplinary team including Neuropsychologists, Speech and Language Therapists, Physiotherapists, and Case Managers. You’ll be supporting the client in her day-to-day life, helping her build confidence, independence, and social engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
- One-to-one community and home-based support
- Encouraging engagement in meaningful activities
- Promoting independence and motivation
- Working closely with clinical professionals
- Supporting rehabilitation goals
Essential Requirements:
- Background in psychology, mental health, or support work
- A genuine interest in acquired brain injury or mental health
- A love for animals - especially horses and dogs
- Full driving licence and access to your own vehicle
- Reliability, flexibility, and excellent communication skills
What We Offer:
- Competitive hourly pay (£15-£16, based on experience)
- Full training, including client-specific and cognitive rehabilitation training
- Ongoing support towards certification as a Brain Injury Specialist
- Experience working within a dynamic MDT environment
- Partial mileage and travel time covered
