Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Microsoft Azure Cloud and Infrastructure Engineer to manage, maintain, and optimize our cloud and on-premises IT infrastructure. The role requires expertise in Azure Cloud services, Windows Server administration, networking, and security. The ideal candidate will be responsible for deploying, troubleshooting, and securing cloud-based and physical IT environments, ensuring high availability, security, and performance across all systems.
Key Responsibilities: Azure Cloud & Microsoft Technologies
- Manage and troubleshoot Microsoft Azure Cloud , including Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Storage, Azure Vault, and Azure Storage Accounts.
- Lead the design and implementation of cloud solutions using Azure services to meet business requirements.
- Oversee the deployment and management of Azure Virtual Machines to ensure optimal performance and scalability.
- Provide expertise in Azure Automation to streamline and automate cloud operations.
- Implement and manage Azure Recovery Services Vault to ensure data protection and disaster recovery.
- Utilize Azure Files for secure and efficient file storage solutions.
- Manage Azure Key Vault to safeguard and manage cryptographic keys and secrets.
- Deploy and manage Azure Container Services for containerized applications.
- Use Azure Resource Manager to manage and organize cloud resources effectively.
- Collaborate with finance teams to understand their requirements and provide tailored cloud solutions.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices in cloud architecture.
- Monitor and optimize cloud infrastructure to ensure cost-efficiency and performance.
- Provide technical guidance and support to development teams on cloud-related issues.
- Stay updated with the latest Azure technologies and trends to continuously improve cloud solutions.
- Maintain and configure Entra ID (Azure Active Directory) for identity and access management.
- Deploy and manage Azure-based infrastructure , optimizing cloud resources for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Handle Office 365 Administration , including Exchange Online, Microsoft Intune, and Teams.
Infrastructure & Network Management
- Administer and troubleshoot Windows Servers, Active Directory, Domain Controllers, and Exchange 2016.
- Configure and maintain Ubiquiti WiFi access points, VLANs, and network security.
- Work with Cisco firewalls, routers, and switches to maintain a secure network infrastructure.
- Configure and maintain Cisco VPN for secure remote access.
Security & Access Control
- Manage NTFS permissions, shared drives, and data security policies.
- Support Paxton Access Control systems for security and authentication.
- Monitor and troubleshoot systems using PRTG Network Monitor.
Technical Support & Client Interaction
- Provide 2nd and 3rd line support , troubleshooting desktop, server, and mobile device issues.
- Offer telephone support and remote assistance for clients and end-users.
- Work with VoIP solutions , providing basic troubleshooting for telephony services.
- Experience in data center operations , ensuring uptime and hardware reliability.
Qualifications & Skills Required:
- Proven experience in a 2nd / 3rd line support role with expertise in Azure Cloud, networking, and security.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure services , including storage, identity, and security solutions.
- Experience with Cisco networking technologies (firewalls, switches, VPNs).
- Good understanding of Windows Server environments, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365 administration.
- Experience managing PRTG, NTFS permissions, VLANs, and access control solutions.
- Ability to provide telephone and onsite support to end-users and clients.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and in a team.
Preferred Certifications:
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate or higher.
- Cisco Certified: CCNA or equivalent networking knowledge.
- ITIL Foundation or similar IT Service Management certification (preferred).
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £38,000.00-£44,000.00 per year
