Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced BIM Manager to lead our Building Information Modelling (BIM) initiatives. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of BIM processes, ensuring that all projects are executed efficiently and effectively. This role requires a strong understanding of various software tools and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality results.

Duties

  • A deep understanding of international and local BIM standards, such as ISO 19650, as well as protocols for data exchange (IFC, COBie, etc.).

  • Understanding of BIM-related contractual obligations, including BIM execution plans (BEPs) and related responsibilities.

  • Ability to create and maintain company BIM processes, workflows and internal BIM/CAD standards documents.

  • Keep up to date with emerging trends and technologies in BIM and exploring ways to integrate them into the companies’ workflow.

  • Ensure the adoption of best practices in BIM modelling, data management, and workflow optimization.

  • Organise and deliver BIM training sessions for teams, including site-based projects team, ensuring all personnel are proficient with the software and processes.

  • Lead, mentor, and manage BIM Technicians, providing guidance and support for resolving technical issues.

  • Collaborate with clients to understand their BIM needs and ensure that BIM deliverables meet their expectations and requirements.

  • Understand the financial implications of BIM processes, such as managing software subscriptions, training costs, and hardware investments.

  • Regularly audit BIM models for quality, accuracy, and adherence to established standards and protocols.

  • Create and manage budgets for BIM resources, ensuring cost-effective use of BIM tools and technologies.

Experience

  • Proven experience in a BIM management role or similar position within the construction or engineering industry.
  • Proficiency in BIM software including Revit, AutoCAD, NavisWorks, Civil 3D, SolidWorks, Sketchup, and MicroStation is essential.
  • Strong understanding of building design processes and construction methodologies.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £50,000.00-£60,000.00 per year
