Head of Fire Engineering
Location: London
Salary: £100,000 to £150,000

Technical Resources are working with a market-leading fire safety consultancy who operate across the Commercial, Industrial and Residential sectors. They support their clients from initial discovery and planning stages through to design, delivery, and ongoing maintenance.

The Head of Fire Engineering will have substantial experience in fire safety design within occupied buildings and retrospective fire strategies, conduct third party review/design verification with fire safety standards and have the ability to provide fire consultancy, expert technical and management advice to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Excellent understanding of UK fire safety legislation and standards
• Fire strategies and design reviews for new projects and refurbishments.
• Develop retrospective fire safety strategies
• Fire impact and optimisation analysis
• Design and specification of fire protection systems
• 3rd party review/design verification against standards
• Engage directly with clients, confidently addressing construction-related queries with relevant experience.
• Provide support to clients, pre-construction and delivery teams across the business
• Prepare and present technical articles
• Contribute to business development by identifying and securing new clients to support growth.
• Onboard SMEs and Consultants where required.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Fire Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
• Professional accreditation (e.g., IFE, NFPA) preferred
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in fire safety consultancy
• Possess excellent report writing and communication skills.

Pay: £100,000.00-£150,000.00 per year
