Speeds Healthcare is a specialist provider of outsourced pharmacy solutions to hospitals and care facilities. We supply medicines, equipment, consumables and support services via our distance selling pharmacy to private hospitals and clinics throughout the UK. The Role

The Pharmacist Manager will work closely with their line manager, the Head of Operations, to deliver an efficient, high quality, professional and well-coordinated dispensing service.

They will lead a large team of qualified pharmacy staff in a busy operational environment and therefore communication and planning skills are essential.

As a qualified pharmacist, the role holder will provide professional leadership to pharmacy team, utilising their senior direct reports to deliver our service to the highest standards.

Our recent GPhC inspection result of 'Standards Met, highlighted areas of Good Practice around patient safety and risk management. Our Pharmacist Manager will continue to develop this culture across the whole team.

Experience of delivering pharmacy services to mental health establishments and patient is desirable but not essential.

About you

Essential Criteria

• A qualified pharmacist, registered with the GPhC
• Previous management experience in a busy pharmacy environment
• Leading a large and experienced pharmacy team with great communication skills
• Strong evidence of risk management and focus on patient safety improvements
• Excellent customer service skills, being able to build relationships with the clinical and operational leaders of our customers’ CQC registered premises
• Commercial awareness including experience of delivering NHS services and effective stock management

Desirable Criteria

• Experience of supply to mental health establishments and patients including the supply of clozapine
• Experience or knowledge of medicines management requirements in CQC registered locations

Working Hours 40 hours per week. Working across the hours of 8.30am to 18.00pm, Monday to Friday and one in 4 Saturdays 08.30-12.30 as the business requires.
