LOCATION

This role will be based in our Cambridge office, and we offer a hybrid working pattern of 3 days in the office and 2 days WFH.

ROLE OVERVIEW

We are seeking an enthusiastic and energetic Analyst with a positive attitude and excellent interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate will have a natural ability to communicate complex data insights effectively and build strong relationships with stakeholders, fostering collaboration to drive data-driven decision-making.

This role within the GHD Master Data team focuses on managing project master data while understanding its significant impact on business operations. A key responsibility is serving as a Point of Contact for data queries and requests related to new product launch projects, including managing data creation and processing change requests from the business. This will include the creation and maintenance Material Masters, Bills of Materials (BOMs), Products, and associated data across business systems.

The Master Data team works closely with departments across the organization globally, such as Project Management, Supply Chain, Finance, Engineering, and Quality. To succeed in this dynamic role, we are looking for a proactive individual with enthusiasm for data and data management systems.

JOB ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Master Data Management:

Manage the Product Master Data lifecycle for projects, ensuring data quality for the business by following a structured step-by-step guide.

Run Master Data reports to perform quality checks and generate dashboards for business insights.

Creation and maintenance Material Masters, Bills of Materials (BOMs).

Business Support:

Provide support to the business in line with agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

System Improvements:

Actively contribute to system improvement initiatives by providing requirements and design inputs.

Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to validate system changes.

Procurement Support:

Assist with product pricing setup and updates.

Facilitate the creation and import of Trade Agreement Journals.

Vendor Quality Checks:

Handle vendor creation and update requests from the business.

Perform compliance checks to ensure due diligence, including reviewing: Terms and Conditions (T&Cs), Contact and bank details, VAT numbers.

Liaise with Accounts Payable and Procurement teams after administrative checks are completed.

Notify the business once vendors are created or updated in the system.

Master Data Manager Support:

Provide support to the Master Data Manager as needed.

Identify and suggest improvements for Master Data and business processes.

Develop or update Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) documents to maintain process clarity.

REQUIREMENTS:

Essential:

Expert / Advanced proficiency level in Microsoft Excel

Detail oriented, Organised

Ability to communicate effectively

Enthusiastic and dynamic

Desirable:

Microsoft Dynamics exposure

Experience in Master data - Product and/or Vendor data

SQL/Power Query

Power BI dashboard building experience
