Tony Alan Recruitment currently has a new exciting new job opportunity for a Junior Finance Analyst to join a growing SME business turning over £18m based in the Steyning area on a permanent contract.

Reporting to the Finance Director, you will be working in a team of 5. The role involves supporting the finance function with reporting, forecasting, and financial analysis to drive business performance. This role would suit someone who is commercially minded and keen to develop their career.

Your duties will include:

• Assist in the preparation of financial reports, budgets, and forecasts.
• Provide financial analysis and insights to support decision-making across the business.
• Develop and maintain financial models and reporting using Excel to improve reporting accuracy.
• Support commercial reporting across the business.
• Assist in month-end reporting and other financial close processes.
• Perform ad-hoc financial reporting and analysis as required.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across the business to ensure alignment with financial objectives.
• Act as a Finance Business Partner to various departments, providing financial insights and guidance to drive performance.
• Contribute to process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency
• Assist and provide cover on general month-end and accounts payable duties, including reconciliations.

Key requirements:

• ideally studying towards ACCA, CIMA or AAT
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data.
• Advanced Excel skills (including PivotTables, VLOOKUP, SUMIFs)
• Ability to work with large datasets and present findings in a clear, actionable manner.
