Florist Labourer & Kiosk Operator

Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Florist Labourer to join our team. This role involves both driving the flower kiosk to and from its location, as well as working on the kiosk to sell flowers and maintain high floral standards. The ideal candidate will be passionate about flowers, possess a strong work ethic, and be willing to ensure the best customer experience while maintaining the kiosk’s appearance and floral displays.

Key Responsibilities:

• Kiosk Operation:
• Drive the flower kiosk to and from designated locations, ensuring it is safely transported and set up.
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the kiosk.
• Assist in setting up and breaking down the kiosk as needed.
• Floral Maintenance:
• Ensure flowers are properly hydrated by changing water in vases and keeping flowers fresh.
• Monitor the condition of flowers, removing any wilted or damaged ones and replacing them with fresh stock as needed.
• Continuously update the floral display to ensure it is visually appealing and fresh for customers.
• Customer Service & Sales:
• Assist customers with selecting flowers and arrangements, providing expert advice when necessary.
• Process sales transactions in a friendly and efficient manner.
• Keep track of inventory and inform management of any low stock.
• General Maintenance & Cleaning:
• Ensure the kiosk and surrounding area are clean and tidy at all times.
• Perform general upkeep tasks such as sweeping, wiping down surfaces, and ensuring that all materials are well-organized.

Skills and Qualifications:

• A love for flowers and an interest in floristry.
• Basic knowledge of floral care and display techniques.
• Strong customer service skills and ability to engage with customers.
• Ability to handle physical tasks, such as lifting flower buckets and setting up the kiosk.
• A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (for kiosk transportation).
• Previous experience in retail or customer service is preferred, but not essential.

Working Hours:

• Flexible shifts, including mornings, afternoons, and weekends.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Expected hours: 8 - 12 per week
