Role Purpose:
Pointer Ltd are looking for an experienced and motivated Management Accountant to join our team. You’ll thrive in a collaborative environment, sharing our values and bringing a pragmatic, positive, and proactive approach to your work.
As part of our team, you’ll be comfortable working both independently and collaboratively. You’ll have strong commercial awareness, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work at pace in a fast-moving environment.
This role is based in our Glasgow Head Office.
Role Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly management accounts accurately and on time.
- Coach and support the wider team as required.
- Translate and communicate financial data to non-financial managers effectively.
- Partner with senior management and team members to support business objectives.
- Identify and implement process improvements for greater efficiency.
- Perform monthly reconciliations and oversee financial controls.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and ad hoc financial reporting.
- Support the Statutory Accounts process and liaise with external auditors.
- Evaluate and enhance our financial information systems.
- Assist in preparing financial reports for quarterly board meetings.
- Take part in ad hoc project work as required.
Qualifications and Experience
- Qualified or part-qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) with relevant experience in a similar role.
- Proven ability to interact successfully with senior management.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- A proactive, problem-solving mindset with the ability to summarize complex financial information clearly.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate.
- Strong IT skills, including Excel, Xero, or similar accounting software.
Resilience, curiosity, and confidence to drive financial best practices.
