Job Purpose: To support in the smooth running of the kitchen at Horton Cross Nursing Home, whilst maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
Main Responsibilities:
- Ensure all crockery and equipment is cleaned, disinfected and stored appropriately.
- Ensure that the overall cleaning of the kitchen is carried effectively.
- Ensure that equipment supplied is used with care, in accordance with suppliers’ instructions and training; reporting any faults immediately.
- Assist in the preparation of meals in a timely manner, as directed by the Head Chef.
- Have an understanding of Health and Safety requirements.
- Carry out any other tasks that may reasonably be assigned to you.
Person Specification:
- Self-motivated
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Flexible
- Ability to work to required Health and Safety/COHSS regulations
Skills
- Kitchen Assistant 1 year (preferred)
- Manual Handling (preferred)
- Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate (preferred)
- Basic ICT competency
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: Up to £12.21 per hour
Expected hours: 37 per week
