Residential Service Manager - Young Adults
Godfrey Care are recruiting for an experienced and quality focused Residential Service Manager for our new 6 bed Residential service. This is a transition service for children with learning disabilities, Autism, challenging behaviour and complex needs based in Nottingham.
We are looking for an experienced service manager to join our team to manage our support staff at one of our new residential homes, delivering 1-1 support to children/young adults with learning disabilities and complex needs. The residents will have a varying degrees of learning disabilities, autism and sensory impairments. We are interested in hearing from experienced and resilient managers who are looking for a new challenge. Applicants should ideally have a clear history of transitioning children to adult services. In conjunction with maintaining good service standards with internal and external expectations.
Every day will be different where you’ll be supporting the individuals we care for with daily challenges, helping them to learn new life skills and taking part in day-to-day activities that most people take for granted. Residents will be encouraged to be out and about, enjoying life together and no single day will be the same.
Due to the challenging nature of the client’s, previous experience is essential specifically with positive behaviour support and challenging behaviours, you will receive specific training tailored to the needs of the people we support, with guidance from an experienced Area Manager and an Internal PBS specialist that will help you develop your skills further. We provide additional training to help you achieve your ambitions with genuine opportunities for career progression within an established and growing care provider.
Your Role
- Responsibility for the operational performance of the services and accountable for its 24- hour management.
- To develop new complex needs services as part of the business growth strategy.
- Accountable for service budgets, delivery of hours, achieving operational key performance indicators, and ensuring targets are achieved and any discrepancies are accounted for.
- To maintain the CQC registration for the services, ensuring that you remain up to date with all relevant changes, ensure timely notifications and follow the expected procedures.
- To develop and maintain close communications with all members of the Regional Team to ensure the maximum flow of information, understanding and ideas.
- To work with the regional manager to ensure that all services within the region are of good quality, achieve high occupancy and meet organisational KPI’s,
- To be aware of all relevant, existing and new developments of a local, regional significance and use this information to form appropriate strategic relationships with key stakeholders; and to cascade this information to relevant colleagues i.e. the Operations Director and/or the Business Development Function.
- To take the lead on developing a regional Functional Plan in accordance with the organisational Strategic Plan, as directed by the Operations Director.
- Ensure compliance of risk assessments and health and safety management for all services within the region.
The Supported Living Manager must have
- QCF Level 5 Leadership and Management/Registered Managers Award (or be willing to work towards)
- Prior experience as a Residential Service Manager for people with learning disabilities and complex needs, including experience of younger people’s services.
- Strong staff management skills
- Excellent knowledge of CQC regulations, health and social care legislation and regulatory requirements
- Resilient, self-aware and ability to cope with stress.
- Flexible to the needs of the service and working outside standard hours when required.
- Comprehensive understanding of positive behaviour support and risk management.
- Enthusiasm, passion and determination to achieve an Outstanding and deliver the highest quality person centred care.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £40,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
