Key Responsibilities
Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP) is responding to the largest emergency in our 40-year history. Over the last year support for our cause has seen significant growth in income as tens of thousands of supporters have joined MAP. Our challenge now is to retain this interest and ensure we sustain income as we respond to the ongoing emergency and the longer-term health of Palestinians over the coming years. With an ambition to be a £50m organisation in the next five years, our fundraising operations team, consisting of database and supporter care functions, will play a key role in enabling over one million Palestinians to access improved healthcare annually by 2028.
The Head of Safety and Security is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring the safety and security of all staff, assets, and operations within MAP. The position involves strategic oversight of security protocols and the implementation of risk management systems in complex, high-risk environments. The Head of Safety and Security will develop and manage safety and security policies, as well as coordinate emergency response procedures and security assessments. This role ensures that the organisation can operate effectively while minimising exposure to risks.

We do this by developing effective, sustainable and locally-led healthcare services, providing medical aid during emergencies, and campaigning to break down the barriers to Palestinian health and healthcare today and for the future.
MAP has a zero tolerance policy with regard to Sexual Exploitation and Abuse by MAP’s personnel against the people they serve. Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) is the responsibility of everyone, and all selected candidates will be required to comply with MAP’s PSEA Policy at all times. Selected candidates will therefore undergo rigorous reference and background checks against their past behaviour related to sexual exploitation and abuse, and may be required to provide additional information further on in the selection process.
Location: London UK or Cairo Egypt
Compensation: £ 59,328 GBP in London
Compensation: $ 40,728 USD in Egypt
