The role is across CJM Lumina, and includes marketing, business development, client support, procurement support, and sales.
Due to continued expansion CJM Lumina we are recruiting a Business Growth Manager/ Business Consultant to support a range of clients in East Renfrewshire, West of Scotland and remotely across Scotland.
This is a multi-faceted role where you will support both the internal growth of the company but at the same time work with external clients to support their business journey.

CJM know the Scottish Economic Eco System; we work across Scotland supporting a wide range of development organisations and functions to drive Scotland’s economy forward.
From Dumfries and Galloway to Highland Council, from Fife to the Western Isles we deliver support through business expert frameworks, business skills training, tailored programmes such as growth and accelerator, due diligence, and programme expert insight.
CJM support several framework agreements with the Business Gateway and Economic Development functions. These provide expert surgeries, expert consultancy, interventions include working with start-up businesses, businesses in the early stages of growth, growth businesses and Third Sector organisations.
Delivering workshops, seminars, expert help, and sector specific titles, across a wide range of topics including financial, HR, web, strategy, and marketing, among others.
The Key aspects of the role are as follows
- Support with procurement and tendering
- Developing our programme approach - working alongside our Head of Growth Programmes, to expand and develop programmes into other areas.
- The development of two of our new private client offerings - Xero and FD - working alongside Head of Financial Management Services.
- Supporting growth clients across CJM - including growth clients in East Renfrewshire and other areas where CJM operate
- Support in the launch of CJM Lumina
- Delivery of training and consultancy using your skill set, training will be remote (via Zoom) and face to face
- Networking for CJM Lumina
- Representation at meetings on behalf of CJM Lumina
Qualification / Experience requirements
Good secondary education and educated to degree level, professional qualification or through professional experience.
Background
Must have an excellent knowledge of business and how to support businesses to develop in their chosen sector or field. The person we are looking for does not need to be an expert in numerous business sectors but have a full grasp of how to develop and grow businesses.
Type of resource
P/T or F/T - willing to discuss. Minimum three days per week. Some homeworking may be possible. Flexible working hours.
Initial Contract term
Three-month trial period and then permanent role.
Base Location
Based in our office in Greenlaw or Prestwick.
Travel
Travel will be required. Candidate must be able to drive and willing to travel. Travel will be paid. Webinars and similar will be used where possible to deliver support and training.
Reports to
Head of Enterprise Services/Contracts.
Scale and size of role
Since inception CJM has been delivering business planning and financial forecasting to clients on behalf of many of the Council Economic Development functions, Business Gateway and Enterprise Agencies. Therefore, part of the role will be to support the development, building and submission of cash flow forecasts, funding support, business plans, business model canvass and financial strategy or options appraisals.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Pay: £28,500.00-£33,000.00 per year
Expected hours: 21 - 35 per week
