Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate ITU (Intensive Therapy Unit) Nurse to join our team. You will be responsible for providing critical care to patients with complex medical conditions, ensuring high standards of clinical excellence and patient safety. Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality critical care to patients requiring intensive monitoring and advanced interventions.
• Manage ventilated patients and those with complex medical needs.
• Respond quickly and effectively to deteriorating patient conditions, escalating as necessary.
• Administer medication and treatments following clinical guidelines and best practices.
• Ensure strict infection control measures and maintain hygiene standards.
• Provide compassionate end-of-life care, supporting both patients and their families.
• Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient care and clinical observations.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated patient care.
• Safeguard vulnerable patients, identifying and reporting any concerns regarding neglect or abuse.
• Train and mentor junior staff, sharing knowledge and best practices.

Requirements:

• Valid NMC (Nursing and Midwifery Council) registration.
• Minimum of 6 months of recent experience in an ITU/critical care setting.
• Proficiency in managing ventilators, tracheostomies, and advanced monitoring equipment.
• Strong knowledge of infection prevention and control measures.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure in fast-paced environments.
• Up-to-date training in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Life Support (ALS) (desirable).
