Job Title: Production Operative

Bradmount is a family run business, who provide fresh food to the catering industry. We build our reputation on the quality of our goods and the delivery of our services
Purpose: to operate machinery and ensure smooth operation of production line, identifying error and quality standards
Key Requirements: be focused and responsible for your own role and to support team-work and meeting set production targets and deadlines.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Control the whole process of production.
- Ensure the quality of the product.
- ensure all products are labelled correctly and comply with food labelling standard.
- Operating the machines efficiently and checking the product samples.
- Maintain the production unit by proper cleaning and sterilization.
- Understand the various products that are manufactured in the company.
- Assorting and packing the products.
- Understand the health and safety regulations of the company and work according to it.
- Follow the instructions and execute them.
- Deliver efficient teamwork.
- Work in shifts and do overtime in case of excessive production.
- Work with respect to the rules of the factory and report to the supervisor in case of any issues.
- make decisions about equipment use and maintenance, while ensuring compliance with health and safety and maintaining a safe working environment.

General:
- Establish team-work and ensure flexibility in your approach to working in our plant
- Identify opportunities for the company within the local and business community
- Act as a champion for the company at all times.
- Any other duties as required by the general manager or managing director
The company reserves the right to amend or change this job description to suit the changing needs of the business. Any changes will be notified within one month of the change taking place. It is a requirement that you co-operate with such changes and training will be provided as appropriate.
Essential requirements
- Flexible approach to working hours, this role is responsible for ensuring all production is covered and customer needs are met, this will require the job holder to work over a 7 day period to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Confident in identifying current production/process flaws and finding ways to increase efficiency
- Good awareness of safety procedures for goods´
- Be able to meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills.
Desirable but not essential
- Previous Hygiene process experience (ideally with COSH)
- Previous H&S experience
- Ideally Forklift Licenses
