Head Chef

We are looking for someone to join our tearoom/cafe, as a head chef. The roll would be full time and include alternative weekends as part of a rota of one weekend on and one off. Hours of work are daytime, during garden centre hours.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of the kitchen and food preparation
- Create and develop menus that align with the restaurant’s culinary concept
- Manage and train kitchen staff, including chefs, cooks, and other kitchen workers
- Ensure food quality and presentation meet high standards
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Collaborate with management to develop new dishes and improve existing ones
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation regulations
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Chef or in a similar role
- Strong culinary skills and knowledge of various cooking techniques
- Ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Knowledge of food safety procedures and regulations
- Creativity and ability to develop innovative menu items
- Strong attention to detail
