Bramhall Golf Club is a modern private member’s club located on the outskirts of Stockport, south of Manchester. The club has a packed competition diary for all membership classes and is well known as one of the friendliest clubs in the area. We also cater for external functions, ranging from business networking to wedding receptions.
We are currently looking to recruit a Sous Chef to work as part of a small team within our modern clubhouse & function facilities. Bramhall GC promotes a friendly, welcoming environment, which allows for a great atmosphere to work within!
You will work alongside the Head Chef to deliver a wide range of functions, ranging from large banquets to party style buffets as well as the day to day facilitating of the member’s bar.
Duties will include;
-Working as part of a team and to be responsible for delivering high standards involving a wide variety of food choices
-To be responsible for running the kitchen in the head chef’s absence
-Maintaining a friendly and motivated environment at all times
-Driving industry health & safety standards
-Ensure the business maintains a 5-star EHO rating
-Assist the management team to ensure the achievement of financial targets
The ideal candidate will be;
-from an ideal level of experience involving fresh food
-someone who has passion for delivering quality
-from high volume/banqueting experience
-able to work as part of a harmonious team
-able to lead the team in decision making
-able to show an understanding on how a commercially successful kitchen works
Working days are 5 over 7, with shift patterns being varied based on the business needs. This role is ideal for a chef-de-partie who is ready for the next step or a current sous chef who is looking for an event focused role which offers an excellent work-life balance compared to other sectors in hospitality.
Contracted hours is around 40 per week , based on the business’ needs. As this is a seasonal role, summers are considered peak and winters less so.

Pay: £30,000.00 per year

- Stockport SK7: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
Experience:
- CDP/Junior Sous: 2 years (preferred)
