Senior IT Engineer - Escalations/Projects

Based at: Head Office Ipswich

Position reports to: Operations/Technical Manager

We’re looking for a Senior IT Engineer to join our growing team, supporting a diverse range of clients both remotely and on-site. If you thrive in a fast-paced MSP (Managed Service Provider) environment and love tackling technical challenges head-on, this could be the perfect role for you!

What You 'll Do:

✔ Resolve Level 2 support tickets efficiently and effectively.
✔ Provide on-site and remote support for clients, ensuring seamless IT operations.
✔ Assist with project work , including deployments, migrations, and upgrades.
✔ Work with Microsoft Cloud solutions (365/Azure), Windows Server, Hyper-V, and networking (firewalls/switching).
✔ Manage backup solutions (Datto experience a plus!) and enforce IT security best practices.
✔ Troubleshoot and diagnose complex technical issues with a hands-on approach.
✔ Use MSP tools to log and track all work with precision.

What We 're Looking For:

✅ Strong technical knowledge of IT infrastructure (servers, networking, virtualization).
✅ Experience with Microsoft 365, Azure, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and RDS.
✅ Familiarity with backup solutions, security tools (MFA, password managers), and wireless tech.
✅ A client-focused mindset - you’re committed to delivering outstanding service.
✅ Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently when needed.
✅ Clear communication (both verbal and written) to explain tech in simple terms.
✅ Microsoft certifications? A bonus, but not essential!

Pay: £28,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
